This seal is versatile in its range of uses, because of its many quality features that combine to provide excellent security and tamper evidence. The parts of this seal each have their role in adding value to the overall design. Such as the Cable itself, firstly it is available in different tail lengths based on the user’s requirements for a good pull tight fit on the application. Additionally, the cable provides excellent tamper evidence and resistance because it will fray if cut, preventing reuse. One end of the cable is permanently fixed to the lock body, with the other end being secured using the one-way locking mechanism preventing it being pulled out when inserted.
The Lock body itself has many innovative features. Such as the locking mechanism that has a Zinc die-cast housing encased in high impact-resistant ABS. This helps to both increase the strength of the seal because this material is hard to break, as well as when it is manipulated or strained it will immediately discolour presenting clear signs of tampering. The MCLP 2K innovatively uses this ABS material incorporating a two-colour design. This allows clearer visibility of the barcode for reading and logging, as well as the additional benefit of making this seal harder to replicate and tamper with. The Barcodes, company names, logos and sequential numbers are laser engraved into the seal to provide the highest marking security against removal. Furthermore, the laser marking area is created with groves that boost the protection to these markings and make it even easier to spot any attempts to alter or remove markings. This waved design also assists in protection of the wire insert providing tamper evidence, in addition to a protruding zinc cast lip that further increases protection against attacks.
